I got hooked on Instagram (I’m runnersrambles, obviously) a few months ago, and ever since then I have been meaning to participate in my friend Jeannett’s InstaFriday. I am finally getting around to it this week!
Link up and play along with me… you don’t have to be on instagram, any cell phone pics will do!
Here is my week in pictures…
This picture is from 2 weeks ago, but I wanted to highlight that I have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen lately. Chris is really busy with fire academy right now, so I have made an effort to spend some time in the kitchen and actually cook. I think I have cooked more the last 2 weeks than I have for our entire marriage… and I am actually semi-enjoying it! We shall see how long that lasts.
In addition to cooking, I have been baking so he can take cookies to the fire house. I love cookies, so I am really glad that these have a place to go besides my belly.
It has been really nice in the Bay Area the last couple weeks. Bailey is definitely enjoying the fresh air from the open windows and will sit here for hours.
Late afternoon on the 4th of July, Chris and I went on a trail run together. The trails are definitely my place of freedom, so I was happy to get to spend the 4th on them. The best part is we discovered some new spots to run!
Trail running = dirt sock lines. This is always a good look. Always.
Emma clearly has a staring problem. This was after breakfast… you should see her before she has eaten.
Thursday I spent another gorgeous morning on the trails. I am doing my best to soak up and actually enjoy the summer this year instead of wishing it away. Running around in the hills definitely helps that.
Kylie is always a happy tired pup after our walks.
This morning I met up with Jojo for a long trail run! After spending so much time with her during AR50 training, I have really missed her the last couple months. I was so happy our schedules finally worked out and we could get out on the trails together. It was another foggy morning in the Headlands and so, so great to be back out there.
The Golden Gate Bridge was trying to peek out from behind the fog at the end of our run.
