And just like that, the last month of 2011 is over!
This month was busy. Between races, holiday parties, running, the actual holidays, vacation and more races, I felt like I was go go go all month.
Typically December is a lower month for me mileage wise since I am usually recovering from CIM. This year however I was not, so I was able to have a pretty good month! 213.3 miles to be exact.
This month started off with a trip to Vegas where I got to be a part of Team Refuel!
It was also blogger central with a couple days of Vegas shenanigans.
Page and I ran in Santa suits to help set a new Guinness Book of World Record record.
Then I ran my first night race on the Vegas strip!
The middle of the month included lots of parties where I actually put on real clothes.
I spectated at the first Walnut Creek Half Marathon!
I started officially training for AR50… which meant a lot of running and a lot of trail running!
The blog went quiet for 12 days as I took a much needed social media sabbatical.
During those 12 days, there was the family vacation in Tahoe where I learned all about running at high altitude and got to run on some gorgeous trails.
The best part was getting to spend some great quality time with Chris and my family.
To finish off the month {and year} I ran a trail half marathon!
Definitely an awesome month to finish off a great year.
And now that December is done, I can finally try and recap the year that was 2011… because it was quite the year.

Great pictures. I like seeing you dressed up.
I love that you took a 12 day haitus from social media! I just started blogging but I know that I’ll be doing that eventually. Looks like you had an amazing year! Can’t wait to follow to see what you do in 2012
Wow, 213 miles is certainly not an “off” month. Well done! Can’t wait to see what you do in 2012!
What a great month! So full of fun!! Looking forward to following what 2012 has in store for you!
Nice month for you! Good going on the mileage and the motivation – you seem to be in a very happy place running / training-wise!
Great month for sure, with a nice mix of everything!
Sounds like you had a fun and festive end to 2011! I hope you have a wonderful 2012. I’m excited for you to do AR50
Amazing! You did more in a month than some people do in a year!
