A New High

In 2008, my first year of running, I ran 1,356.7 miles starting from February when I first started running and keeping track of my miles.

In 2009 I blew that out of the water and ran 2,103.3 miles.

In 2010 I took another step up, hitting 2,235.8 miles for the year.

Naturally, I wanted to beat 2010’s number in 2011.

As of this morning, I now have a new high mileage for a year and I still have 2 weeks of the year to go!  I crossed over 2010′s 2,235.8 during mile 2 of my 10 miler and now officially have a new yearly high.

Of course it was with two of my favorite running partners on a cold winter morning.  The best kind of run if you ask me!

Thank you legs and feet for another record high year!

Maybe I can break 2,300 for 2012?

Wow! You make my 480 miles so far in 2011 (resolution was to run 365 or a mile a day) look paltry!

Wow, that is insane! I have no doubt that you can beat that number in 2012, especially with the ultramarathon that you are doing!

I don’t think I’ve ever even broken the 1000 mile barrier in my running career, haha

Nice work!!! Okay, I have to play devil’s advocate and ask…at what point will “breaking last years total” not be feasible? I think you are years and years away from that point! :)
