I really try to be thankful all year round, but naturally around Thanksgiving being thankful is front and center. This year in particular, I have been thinking a lot about everything I have to be thankful for since it’s been a big year in our house!
I am thankful that I have a loving, supportive husband who gives me my space, pushes me to reach new potentials and loves me know matter what. I am a lucky girl.
I am thankful for my family who supports me through all my crazy adventures, who always loves me and who I miss everyday.
I am thankful that I found running. I can’t imagine my life without it. I am thankful for everything that it has brought into my life, because it has given me so much.
I am thankful for my friends. Every year I watch my network of people grow and I feel so thankful to have SO many amazing friends, both runners and non-runners.
I am thankful for our house. Even though is it always it may get messy and might not be filled with new fancy furniture and decorations, it’s our home and especially in times like these, I am so thankful to have one.
I am thankful for the Bay Area running community. I know I might be a little biased, but I seriously think we have one of the best running communities around and I am so thankful to be a part of it. Our little group here just keeps getting bigger and bigger and continues to fill with more amazing people. The thing with runners is we all get it, no matter our pace or how far we run, we just understand each other. We learn from each other, we push each other, we inspire each other. It has been so incredibly fun and rewarding to watch this group grow this year.
I am thankful for my job and that I can finally truly say I love my job. I really wasn’t sure if that was ever going to be possible.
I am thankful that Chris has found something that he is passionate about. I am thankful that he had the courage not to settle and make his dreams happen, and that we have been able to figure it out the tough stuff and make it work.
I am thankful for all the amazing places I have to run. I have been in the Bay Area for almost 7 years now and I feel like I am just starting to tap in to the beauty that surrounds me. I am so thankful that I live in a place that has so many great running routes, both of dirt and on pavement, and that I have the freedom and choice to go run wherever I want, whenever I want.
I have thankful for all the opportunities I have been given this year. So much has happened in just a few months, and I am so thankful for it all. From being an Ambassador for the San Francisco Marathon, to helping to start team lemon run club at lululemon, to becoming a lululemon Run Ambassador, it’s been a pretty awesome year.
I am thankful for my pets. They make me smile everyday, they cheer me up on a bad day and I am thankful to have them in my life.
What are you thankful for this year?
Tomorrow is my last turkey trot of the trifecta!
Who else is turkey trotting tomorrow? Anyone doing anything else fun for Thanksgiving?
