I have a confession to make.
Over the last couple months I have become a sports bra snob.
Let me explain.
I have always been very excited about running clothes, but for some reason sports bras were never something I spent much thought on, probably because I didn’t really “need” to. I typically wore Target C9 ones and even though they always gave me a chaffed line across my chest that seemed to be permanently there, I just put up with it because they were cheap and fit fine. Mostly because I didn’t know any different.
Then I got my first Zensah sports bra and it became my go-to bra that I wore for all my races and long runs or anything important when it came to running. It was so much more comfortable, fit better and was more supportive.
Then I recently got a couple lululemon sports bras and it all ended there. I could no longer wear my Target sports bras and one by one they were being replaced with the good quality bras.
So let’s just say I was just a little excited when Zensah contacted me to review their Fitness Bra! I knew I loved my Zensah Running Bra (and really anything else Zensah I have come into contact with), so I just assumed I would also love the Fitness Bra. Plus I really loved the style of the Fitness Bra with the skinnier straps in the back.
From the site:
Zensah has developed the most comfortable fitness bra. The innovative fitness bra is made with Zensah Fabric which is thermal regulating. This allows you to never feel too hot or too cold, providing increased while you are engaged in fitness. This is an ideal fitness top for all levels.
The Zensah Fitness Bra has moisture wicking technology that keeps you dry.
With a seamless construction and Zensah fabric, the Zensah Fitness Bra is the best fitness bra on the market. This high-performance fitness bra offers superior comfort and support.
My new bra came in the mail last week and I immediately opened it and took it on a run up Mt. Diablo that night. The first thing I noticed was how soft it was and once I put it on I noticed how comfortable it was.
This bra is considered a “medium” support bra and isn’t as tight/supportive as the other Zensah running bra I have, which works for me since I don’t need a ton of support.
I have worn it a few times already and was very happy with it each time. It’s really comfortable and doesn’t leave the line on my chest. It definitely passes my sports bra test and is already in my new quality sports bra rotation.
Plus $31.99 it isn’t that expensive for a high quality sports bra. If you are looking for a new medium support sports bra, I highly recommend this one!
What is your favorite sports bra?
***I was sent this sports bra for no cost in exchange for my review on the blog. As always the thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own!

Well, I have been looking for some Zensah Bra in a size that would support my bad boys. I have tried a few brands and I am still searching for a better -more comfortable bra for larger sized breasts. Unfortunately there are a lot of sports bras out there, however of all that I’ve tried, I just cant seem to get a perfect one yet. I recently bought the Moving Comforts new line because of the reviews that promised its awesomeness… well it holds me, keeps shock down, and wicks sweat, however its hurts my shoulder blades because its straps are like a typical bra that go straight down the back and not pinched in like a sports bra. I still wear it in my rotation, because I spent the money on it, and I refuse to waist $50 on a bra and not wear it. I’m stubborn like that, which works well in the running game.
For now I will still vote that the Underwire Maximum Support sports bra from Victoria’s Secret is still the favorite in my collection, but I’m gona keep hope that there are more out there and Ill find that perfect one and life will just be better.
Have you tried the lululemon tata tamer? I’ve heard great things about it for larger chests. I’ll ask around too for more recs
I love the Victoria’s Secret Sports bras. They’re so comfortable and moisture-wicking AND I keep getting $10 off a bra coupons which work for them (sometimes they take them, sometimes they don’t) AND I get double points on my Angel card. It’s a little sad that I go to VS to buy sports bras only but whatever.
Thanks for the reviews! I have heard amazing things about lulu bras. What is your experience with them?
Love them! I have a couple diff ones, I’ll do a big review soon!
i totally need to get hooked up with a zensah bra! i have the c9 bras and the same chafing issue happens to me. my husband uses it as another, “you are so crazy to run, look what it does to you!” thing. i have zensah socks and a pair of capris, now i just need the bra
i keep hearing about Zensah products but haven’t tried any yet…maybe i’ll have to with this bra. i’m a huge fan of the thinner strap bras regardless of temps- they just feel more comfortable. i’m like you though, i mostly frequent target for bras- not much support needed here!
have i mentioned to you they are opening a lulu 1.5 miles from my house? gotta figure out how to be an ambassador before that kills my checking acct
As someone who also doesn’t need a tonne of support, my favourites have been the Lululemon Flow bra and the lululemon deep v (which was discontinued and then brought back but it sold out before i could get another).
I hear SO MANY great things about Zensah gear and it just isn’t affordable to get it shipped to Canada. I really wish I could try it and love it as much as you all do
We do have stores that carry our products in Canada. You should ask them. They would be happy to ship to you. Also we can ship by USPS which is more economical.
Thanks for your support.
TEAM ZENSAH
Thank you! I guess things have changed a bit since last time I looked into it. I’ll check your website again!
Any chance you’ll have a a booth at the Montreal Marathon Expo this weekend?
Im a C9er right now. I have a little top and always figured I didnt really need the high dollar sports bras. Title 9 starts at $45! But I have to buy a small size to keep from bouncing around and still hurt because of the massive compression. Zensah is amazing and I had no idea they did bras. I can totally afford under $40! Thanks for the review.
I have a lot of the Champion Drifit ones which I like quite a lot. I also have 2 Northface Ones with a built in pocket in the front which you can put Gus, your camera, or other things in, which is really nice. The Zensah ones seem similar to the Champion ones I like but softer when I have tried them on, but then I was told they bleed a lot?! Do you find this to be a problem. I don’t want my sports bras ruining the rest of my clothes…
There was an issue with Neon Pink bras bleeding, but that has been resolved. You should definitely give them a try.
Thanks,
ZENSAH
I totally have a constant line across my chest of raw skin or scabs-sexy huh? I have have some quality sports bras, but that hasn’t seemed to help me. :-/ Maybe I will have to check out Zensah-I saw them at Interbike last week and their stuff seems awesome!
That bra would totally NOT work for me! Lucky for me I finally discovered THE bra that can contain my ‘ladies’. So awesome that they gave you one to review.
I’m not that picky about what I wear for yoga or martial arts, but when it comes to running, I’ve only ever found ONE bra that a) keeps everything still, and b) doesn’t looks like I’m wearing amazon battle armor (that’s my complaint about the ta ta tamer & most other bras designed for big boobs — they tend to be ENORMOUS and give the boobs a rather unflattering bullet-shape). My go-to running bra is Moving Comfort’s Alexis bra. I’m a 36C, but when I’m wearing that thing, nothing moves. At all. It also somehow manages to make my chest look smaller, which, when I’m running, is a big plus. I’ve tried a few other brands and styles but nothing else comes close. I have five of them!
The bra is so important!!! Glad you have a couple of good ones in rotation now. Zensah fabric rocks!!
I just ordered two Zensah running bra’s. I hope I love them! I have some Champion ones that I really like too.
Thanks for the review – it looks like an awesome sports bra – and i love how its a bit more feminine
Even the Lululemon Tata Tamer doesn’t work for me.
Moving Comfort Juno & Fiona bras are best for people like me (just in case you have any curious minds who want to know).
Thanks Alyssa. I have developed large, ehm, “tracts of land” with this pregnancy. I’m having to find new, more supportive sports bras to support the girls. I’ll definitely look at the two you suggested!
My friend just did a review of the bra that works for us bigger ladies… : 0http://didyougetanyofthat.blogspot.com/2011/09/moving-comfort-juno-bra-review-and.html Hope it works for you!
Ah, I ordered the Juno TODAY in my continual hunt for a no-bounce bra! I have a Title Nine one I had high hopes for (a high-impact style but not totally mashing and medieval), but I still bounce when I run, GD-it! Hopefully the Juno works for me, too!
It should work! My friend just did a post on the bra that works for us more “blessed” ladies… she even made a hilarious video proving no bouncing & all! http://didyougetanyofthat.blogspot.com/2011/09/moving-comfort-juno-bra-review-and.html I hope it works for you!
Thanks for the review!! I too have gotten away from my old C9 staple and had NO idea what I was missing. I definitely want to try the Zensah running bra now. I’m a HUGE Zensah sleeve fan (both calf and arm).
i have so many target C9 bras… i think im ready to make the switch. dear zensah, dont disappoint me!!
thanks for your review… i think zensah should let me review one too hehe
Ugh i looove zensah’s bras!! i always get the target versions on these…which are just as great…but def not the same… ooo to be a poor college student
Hmmm..I always have a line from my Target sports bra. Maybe I should invest, at least for long runs.
I really need better bras since my training is heating up and I hate the chafing the inexpensive bras cause.
How do you care for your bras? Do you wash them in the washer and air dry or dry them in the dryer? Or do you do everything by hand?
I wash all my running clothes together in the washer in cold water and hang dry everything.
It looks cute and I definitely like the price! Material looks a little too thin for me though – how does it hold up in the headlight test (usually my #1 careabout with sports bras)?
i *love* all of your reviews! i bought 3 of the zensah tanks solely based on your last one! but back to my age ol’ question – where does the neckline fall? how does it compare to the neckline of the zensah sport bras? and does it show above the lulu run swiftly or crb tanks?
Thanks for the review. I saw one of these at the Boston Marathon Expo yesterday and loved the feel/look of it. I didn’t want to buy it until I had some reviews of it. I think I might go back and get it today! Thank you!
