The Walnut Festival Run is this weekend!
If you live in the Bay Area, or happen to be in the Bay Area this weekend, come out and run! There is still time to register Friday night at Sports Basement Walnut Creek and race day registration is also available.
We are so excited for the big day and I can’t wait to see everything come together. I still remember talking with Jason about this on New Years Eve which seems like yesterday. Yet here we are, over 9 months later, getting ready for race day!
It’s been so fun to be a part of a race behind the scenes. I have just done a very small part, but it’s really amazing and eye opening to see how much work really goes into a race, even a small local one.
This race is put on 100% by volunteers who just love running and want to put on a race to raise money for a good cause. This year has a patriotic theme for September 11th, with the money going towards local schools. It’s going to be a great morning!
