I am behind on my weekly recap since the marathon was on Sunday and I posted my race report Monday! I have all my runs logged here, so I can’t miss these!
I didn’t plan on doing a ton of running this week since I was recovering from Boston and tapering for Big Sur at the same time. My plan was just to keep things short and easy, and pretty much just do whatever I wanted. I like that plan!
I used my free time to make my Boston collage, play with the pups (and take a million pictures of them doing so), and get ready for a fun-filled race weekend!

My normal Tuesday team lemon run club! It was fun to be back and chat about Boston with all my friends there. Kristin and I ran together and made sure everyone was on the right route and turned around at the right spots. Plus we had lots to talk about like always.

I attempted to get out of bed early a couple mornings this week but it just didn’t work. This morning was one of them. I brought my stuff to run after work and really wasn’t feeling it and just wanted to bail, but then I decided to text Kerry to see if she needed to run and she did! We met up at a local trail and did an easy 4 miles catching up on all the happenings of the last couple weeks. Nothing like having a friend to meet to get you out the door!

I met up with the SFM Training group for our weekly fun run. I had a lot of fun this run chatting with the trainees and talking all things running.
I also wore my Big Sur shirt from last year for good vibes for the race.

I was going to do an easy run after work but decided not to because I just didn’t want to.

Since I didn’t run Friday I did an easy shake out early Saturday morning before heading to Monterey!

Now that this big challenge has been completed it’s time to move on to the next thing (after recovery of course)! What will the next countdown be and what will this fall’s race calendar look like? Stay tuned!
