I was looking at the calendar today and was shocked to see that today was already the 18th! Wasn’t it just May 1st, how can it be May 18th already?
The first thing that popped into my head was that it was one month until Chris and my wedding anniversary! SIX whole years coming up very soon.
Then I started thinking… wait, the 18th… April 18th. It’s been a month since Boston! I seriously can’t believe it’s been one whole month already.
One month ago I was at the start line of the marathon I waited years for.
One month ago I was running that marathon, soaking up every single second and had my expectations surpassed, even though I thought that would be impossible.
One month ago I turned left on Boylston, then crossed the finish line with tears in my eyes and with a smile plastered on my face.
One month ago I got to put on the jacket finally and still get the chills whenever I get to wear it.
One month ago I became a Boston Marathoner, something that I will forever treasure. I will never forget that day and I hope this Boston smile lasts many, many more months.

Great post, proud of you!
I get the same feeling when I put on my jacket too! So glad you had a wonderful experience there. It was such a perfect day for me too! I never, ever, ever want to forget that Boston Marathon magic!
I’m sure you have noticed this, but in the pic where you are crossing the finish line the clock matches the last 4 digits of your bib number….kinda cool!
I didn’t notice that!!!
Time certainly flies!!! Goosebumps….you did amazing!
So amazing! You rock
Wow! A month already?
Such an amazing accomplishment! I’m so glad to have found your blog because you are quite the inspiration! I hope to get that feeling myself someday
It will start with my first half this summer
Gosh, it’s been a month already? I still feel unworthy when I put on my jacket (I ran with charity rather than qualifying). Granted, that doesn’t keep me from sporting it…
So, when is the next one? Did you finally give in and decide to run the San Francisco marathon?
going to go back?
Happy Boston-iversary.
Reading about your experience and seeing your pictures gives me goosebumps EVERY TIME!
One month ago it was my birthday!
Oh my gosh, I really can’t believe it’s been a month either! It feels like yesterday but also so long ago for me because my emotions and my physical state has been all over the map in the past month. It’s pretty crazy how fast it came and went, and now I’m working toward being back to my “normal” running.
I’m still so glad that your first Boston was such a special experience for you – it makes me so happy to know that other runners have the same amazing feelings that I did running my first one!
Aw Aron! This post gave me chills. I’ll be there one day too and hope I can have the same awesome experience.
Congrats, again!! You deserve to keep smiling!!
This spring is flying by, and it would be fun to have another blogger-runner meetup
I love this!! Reading this brought a smile to my face. I can’t believe it’s been a month already!! But I hope that Boston smile never fades
