This was a month I had been counting down to for a very long time.  I still can’t believe it came and went already!  Everything turned out to be so amazing and better than I anticipated, I really couldn’t ask for more. 

This month was filled with anticipation and excitement leading up to my first Boston Marathon.

My mileage came down since I was tapering and recovering but I still managed to run 150.4 miles for the month.  A low for 2011 but for good reason.

I had a great couple last long runs, one with Alyssa through Golden Gate Park and one along the beach in Pismo on my own.

I was spoiled to the max from all my amazing friends and completely overwhelmed with love leading up to the big day.

The highlight of the month of course was crossing the finish line to the Boston Marathon.

And the rest of the month has been spent sporting my Boston gear wherever I could.

After some recovery and indulgence, I got in a little bit more running in order to get me ready for marathon #10! 

Now I am all packed up and Monterey bound for a fun filled girl’s weekend with a marathon thrown in.  I will be starting May off with a bang I guess?

    i literally have not taken off my boston jacket :) and i’ve requested even more gear for my birthday in a month. that little unicorn is my favorite forever :)
