As part of my San Francisco Marathon Ambassador welcome package, I received an SFM Headsweats Hat!
I had heard great things about these hats from many different people, but hadn’t tried one myself yet. Being a hat lover I was very excited to wear it and see what all the hype was about!
From the very first time I wore this hat I was in love. It’s soft, it wicks sweat, it fits perfectly… it’s just simply the best.hat.ever. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a black one! I also received a "staff" hat as part of my SFM Training pacer role and wear this one constantly too.
Yes these are the hats you see me sporting around in all my pics now.
If you are a hat person I HIGHLY recommend Headsweats. I have tested my fair share of running hats and this one definitely wins.
Are you a hat wearer like me? Have you tried Headsweats Hats?
***I received two of the Headsweats Hats for free as part of my involvement with both the San Francisco Marathon Ambassador Program and the SFM Training pacer program. The other one I bought myself!
Oh, you want to know who won the Sony Giveaway? I compiled all the comments, tweets, links and facebook comments into a spreadsheet and numbered them, then I picked 2 numbers randomly.
*drumroll*
The winners are….
Congrats!!! Email me and I will get them sent out to you ASAP!
If you didn’t win and still want to get one, I have a discount link! You can buy the Walkman for $48.99 (compared to $59.99) HERE! If you are a music runner and are sick of cords, I definitely would recommend this fun gadget.
Thanks for ALL of your comments on my Afraid to Race post.. once again you guys blow me away.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Headsweats hats. I have no clue how many I have but I’m going to guesstimate 15+. It is the only hat I wear to run in. <3
I’m not much of a hat person, but I have heard nothing but good things about headsweats!
Congrats to the Sony winners!!
YAYAYAYA – this totally made my day
Thanks for hosting this AWESOME giveaway!!
I haven’t tried Headsweats. I typically wear a Nike hat in each marathon; trying to wear a different one in each race, one that matches the outfit in some way. I was thinking of not wearing a hat in the Oakland marathon (first time ever not wearing one), but perhaps I will try the Headsweat. Looks like they have fun colors! Tip: Wear a brightly colored hat so your loved ones can easily spot you coming on the course!
OMG, I won! I never do! Thanks, I will email you:)
I love hats. I always here I have to many (hm, husband!) but now I can show him how many you have, that will quiet him down!
I LOVE running in hats, I think I need to buy one of these for myself
I have really sensitive skin and I dislike running w/ sunglasses so running with a hat is a huge must! I think I need to buy a SFM hat to wear while training for the race during the warm summer months
I’m only a hat wearer when it’s raining and/or super sunny (but then it’s usually a visor only) and I actually think of you when I wear a hat because that’s totally your trademark as far as I’m concerned! LOL!
Headsweats = WINNING. That is all.
I am definitely a running hat guy and looking to get more. I tend to sweat a lot when I run so good wicking is definitely a must! Sounds like these hats would be perfect for me!
i’m more of a visor person, but my faves are headsweats! i love how stretchy the bands are : )
Ahhhhh a good hat, I need one! (and NZ is pathetic at variety
) … anyway – quick question – how big are they? I have a lot of troube finding running hats because they are usually “both genders” and I have pin head (and fine, not much hair to go with the pin head), so they are usually too big. Have these ones got a good buckle at the back that will tighten right to the end (hope that makes sense)?
One of mine has velcro in the back and one has a clasp thing, so both can be adjusted to how tight you want them. I have a big head though and also thick hair
BUT the actual hat part is really soft and isn’t “shaped” as in it collapses when it’s not on your head, so it shapes to your head easily. Hope that helps!
i wish i was a hat wearer. i only drag mine out in the rain and even then it’s only vanity — i don’t want my hair to get all knotted hahah
i’ve never worn a hat running…maybe i should try, you make it look cute
I only own one running hat – I need to expand my collection!! These sound great.
Hi! Your blog is great
You must be so excited for Boston! I don’t wear hats when running – mainly because my ponytail gets in the way and/or I’m too lazy to buy a hat…
I look forward to catching up on your blog/training!
I’ve never tried headsweats but they sound awesome! I love, love, love hats – so I’ll def have to pick one up!
Headsweats have some great products! It’s really convenient that they build sweatbands into products like hats / visors.

Thanks. I bought a headband after reading your review. I don’t like hats that are adjustable in the back.
