i was very, VERY spoiled from my friends and family last weekend and they know what i like – running gear!! it would be a very long post to fit it all in, so i am breaking it up into categories. first part is the accessories!
beanie, hat, socks, book, ear warmer, water bottle
i have never had a beanie to run in and was very excited when i opened this one!! plus its very cute and bright 
i wore it on my run this morning and it kept my head very warm, i love it! its very soft fleece on the outside and moisture wicking on the inside.
lululemon i *heart* running sigg water bottle
omgosh i HEART this water bottle!!!! seriously i was in love when i opened it and am still in love after carrying it around with me everywhere this week. it keeps my water cold, doesn’t leak and is SO cute!
jolynn said these are her favorite socks for trail running so i will definitely be giving these a try on my next trail run and come back with a review for you! i can’t wait to try them!
this book came in the mail for me this week and I AM SO EXCITED!!! i am going through some trail running withdrawals right now since it’s been a couple weeks – so sad. so i CANNOT wait to open this book and explore all the trails around. it gives awesome info – where to park, where to go, how long the routes are, what kind of terrain, etc etc etc. serious must have for a trail runner in the bay area.
i have been wanting a new running hat for a while so i picked this one up with a gift card i got and i LOVE it. it is so soft and so comfortable and fits my head very nicely. i have been wearing it all week to keep the rain out of my eyes and i am in love. i want more colors
nike lightweight running headband
i have a headband/earwarmer that i really like, but it’s a little loose and is more of the fleecy material. i wanted a lighter one that fit tighter and this one is PERFECT. it keeps my ears warm, but not too warm since it doesn’t get *that* cold in california. love this.
i also got a silver charm that says “26.2 BOSTON” on it. i love love love it. i wear it all the time, and have gotten so many questions and compliments on it already. i think i will have to wear it when i run boston 2011 too. it reminds me of all the hard work i put in, to keep working hard and to have something big to look forward to next year.
my family and friends are amazing because there is still MORE that i have to review – seriously. next week will be the clothes

a couple runs to report:
thursday after work i headed out in the rain and got some miles in. i was soaked by the end but happy to be running. i would rather run in the rain ANY day over the heat. ekk. i ran a short loop with a good sized hill. i gotta start getting serious about my hill training – big sur is coming up!

this morning i met up with kristin and her new doggie bentley! i brought emma along since it was their first time meeting and they had a lot of fun. both pups were very good and i can’t wait for kylie to meet him next time. pretty soon we will have a pack of 3 running down the streets together! we kept the pace super easy and just chatted and tried to keep the dogs on their task of running. it was a good morning and i am glad i got out of bed.

My birthdays are chock-full of running accessories too! nice haul! I have the same 2 hats. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the nike one. I seriously can't run without it. And my under armor beanie is bright pink so my mom can always pick me out of a crowded race

Wowza – what awesome gear! I bought a beanie (with a pony-tail hole – how cool?) this year and am loving it. I was a headband girl before, but sometimes you need the full head covering.

How funny is it that the crappiest gift you can get is socks … unless those socks are RUNNING socks, in which they are awesome? Pretty double standard. Makes me feel kind of bad for those plain-old-regular-socks, they get a bad rep.
