what a year.
it definitely didn’t go exactly as planned, but i think it was more special because it didn’t. it was really hard, it was really fun, it was worth every second. i learned so much about running and about myself, and will always look back on 2009 with a big smile.
i don’t really have the right words to close out the year, and i think i have said most of everything already. i hit all my goals for the year, but that doesn’t mean i am done, it just means i have bigger better goals for the year ahead (which are coming in a post soon). i am really proud of myself for everything i accomplished this year, and i am really excited for 2010 to see what the new year brings!
the numbers:
- ran 2103.3 miles
- ran 13 races including 4 marathons, 6 half marathons, my first 10 miler and 10k, and a 5k (all race reports are linked on the left side of my blog)
- had 5 months over 200 miles
- wrote 177 blog posts
so instead of dragging this post on forever and getting all sappy, i thought it would be more fun to make a movie collage of the pictures from my posts throughout the year. it’s a long movie, so i understand if you don’t sit through the entire thing, but it pretty much summarizes (including my teeny bopper cheesy music) the year for me.
thank you for following along on this roller coaster awesome year, also known as 2009. i seriously don’t know what i would have done at times without the support i received from this little blog, you guys are amazing. i can’t wait to see what 2010 has in store for all of us.
